Lead Java Developer

We’re looking for a Lead Java Developer to join our team building and evolving high-impact applications in a cloud environment. You’ll work on a modern, scalable stack with a strong emphasis on AI-driven development, cloud architecture, and technical leadership.

This project focuses on the modernization and scaling of enterprise-grade applications within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. You will drive the evolution of distributed systems, ensuring high performance and seamless integration of external services.

About the Role

As a Lead Developer, you will balance hands-on engineering with high-level architectural ownership. You will be a champion for AI adoption, mentoring a distributed team while serving as the primary technical bridge between stakeholders and cross-functional engineering squads.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and development of robust backend applications using Java and modern React frontends.
• Own the end-to-end architecture, ensuring technical solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with cloud best practices.
• Drive the adoption of advanced AI tools (Claude, Cursor) to optimize team productivity and code quality.
• Mentor developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and the enforcement of engineering standards.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical roadmaps, collaborating closely with Product Owners and Architects.
• Facilitate technical decision-making and influence stakeholders through clear, structured communication.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Java (Spring) and React development.
• Proven track record in a Technical Lead or leadership role within distributed environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and designing scalable, distributed systems.
• Advanced proficiency in using AI-assisted development tools beyond basic prompting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with both SQL/NoSQL databases and DevOps practices (CI/CD, containers).
