Blazor is a Microsoft framework that enables building web applications in C# without relying on JavaScript. This allows .NET developers to create full applications—both frontend and backend—in a single language, making maintenance and development much easier.
Blazor integrates smoothly with the .NET ecosystem and is easier to learn for developers familiar with C#, but it’s still young and has fewer libraries or community resources. Angular, on the other hand, has a mature ecosystem, extensive documentation, and strong support for building complex, large-scale applications, though it requires mastering TypeScript and comes with a steeper learning curve.
The main challenge is that Blazor is still relatively new. It has fewer ready-made solutions and smaller community support compared to Angular, which often means more time spent solving problems independently. Performance in WebAssembly can also be an issue, with longer initial load times.
Blazor is a good fit for teams already strong in .NET and C#. It allows them to stay within a single technology stack, avoiding the need to learn JavaScript or TypeScript. It’s especially useful for companies relying on Microsoft tools and looking to unify backend and frontend development.
