The client, 4PL, struggled with disjointed legacy tools that required manual data entry, leading to increased risk of calculation errors and slow processing times. They needed a robust, scalable architecture capable of handling high-volume excise data securely. The challenge was to create an intuitive system capable of handling complex excise processes while providing quick access to data and generating reports compliant with legal requirements.
We engineered a bespoke web application leveraging .NET Core for high-performance backend processing and Angular to deliver a responsive, reactive user interface. The solution enables automatic warehouse stock recalculation, seamlessly retrieves large datasets via FTP integration, and is built on a scalable SQL Server database architecture designed to store and process years of historical records without performance degradation.
The new application has significantly improved the process of managing excise records. Users have gained a tool that enables comprehensive handling of excise data in one place - from adding products and contractors to reporting warehouse stock levels. By eliminating manual data entry errors, the system has automated many time-consuming processes and increased the efficiency of advisors’ work. Thanks to its modern architecture based on .NET technology, the application is stable, scalable, and ready to evolve further in line with the client’s needs.
